EXPANDING INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
Government has perused cost cutting initiatives, including conversion to tolling model refinancing of expensive debt, propelling of tariffs and switching from imports liquid fuel to locally produced natural gas as primary fuel for generation.
On connectivity to the national grid, a total of 157 communities were linked to the national grid as at 22 September, 2022.
The Ministry of Energy would further connect an additional 400 towns under the SHEP-4, SHEP-5 and Turnkey Project in 2023.
THE COASTAL FISHING PORTS AND LANDING SITES REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT .
Substantial progress has been made in the development of 12 Coastal Fishing landing sites in 2 fishing ports along the coast of Ghana namely Axim and Dixcove in the Western Region, Moree, Mfantsiman , Ekumfi, Mamford, Winneba, Senyan Beraku, Gomoa Feteh and Elmina, in the Central Region, Teshie, Osu and James Town in the Greater Accra Region and Keta in the Volta Region.
Over all the project is about 95 per cent complete and will ensure safe landing and loading of artisanal fishing canoes and promote hygienic environment conditions
EXPANDING ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE
The Ministry of Road and High Ways continue its Nationwide Road and Bridge construction.
Works on the La Beach Road and constructions of a 3-tier interchange at Nungua Barriers are progression steadily.
Works on the interchange currently stand at 62 per cent. Construction of Kumasi Lake Road and Drainage Extension Project is almost complete and stands at 97 per cent.
Works are ongoing on the 17.85km Ofankor-Nsawam dual carriage road which is scheduled to be complete in 2024.
Dualisation works on the Tema-Aflao and Tema-Akosombo Roads has commenced.
REHABILITATION WORKS
Works are ongoing on the rehabilitation of Assin Fopsu-Assin-Praso road including the dualisation of 1.2km of Assin Fosu township roads into 4-lane carriage is at 53 per cent. Additional works on the restructuring of Bechem –Techiman-Akomadan and Agona Nkwanta-Tarkwa roads are 21 per cent and 7 per cent respectively.
ONGOING PROJECTS
Works on phase II of Obetsebi Lamptey Circle Interchange and ancillary works is at 71 per cent complete. Additionally construction of the flyover over Accra, Tema motorway from flower pot roundabout is 56 per cent complete
BRIDGES
Works on the construction of 50NO prefabricated bridges continued in 2022. Progress at the new bridges being constructed over River Pra to separate vehicular traffic from rail along the Twifo Praso-Dunkwa road is at 87 per cent.
INTER REGIONAL ROADS
Inter Regional Roads Projects initiated in 2019 are at various stages of completion.

Contract works under the master Project Support Agreement (MPSA) with Sinohdro Corporation Limited are various stages completion.

- Upgrading of selected Feeder Roads in Ashanti and Western Regions 100 per cent complete.
